WHAT IS AN INTERMODAL TRUCK DISPATCHER SERVICE?
Independent Intermodal Dispatcher is a truck dispatcher assisting independent owner-operators with finding and booking intermodal container shipments. They complete paperwork and facilitate communication between shippers, receivers, brokers, motor carriers, and truck drivers in a timely manner. Intermodal dispatcher’s job description may also include assistance to a motor carrier with providing quotes to potential clients, invoicing, load planning, storage management, and customer service. At the same time, intermodal dispatchers operate as independent contractors.
WHAT WE CAN DO FOR YOU
If you are a Motor Carrier specializing in intermodal transportation, we can assist you with the dispatch and management of your current loads.
We will assist you with:
Completion of paperwork and invoicing
Problem resolution at ports and rail yards
Communication with ship lines and company drivers
Location and return of chassis and empty containers
Calculation and quoting of container transportation and storage fees
DO YOU NEED MORE LOADS FOR YOUR TRUCKS?
We can assist you with the establishment of new relationships with brokers specializing in intermodal shipments. We will place bids on your behalf on single and multiple container loads based on your preferred rates. In some cases, we may also connect you with direct shippers or direct receivers in need of an intermodal carrier in your area of service.
Please note: This is a long-term process and should not be relied on for your daily operations.
WHAT WE CHARGE FOR OUR SERVICE?
We understand that intermodal operations are a fast-paced environment and require a lot of effort from both motor carrier and intermodal dispatcher. Multiple “in” and “out” port movements can result in 10,15 or even 20 loads per truck per week. That is why we offer one flat fee of $295 per truck per week. There are no limits on gross revenue or volume.
